Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy has been used for decades by the sports and medical fraternity to treat a wide range of diseases.

The therapy involves the administration of pure oxygen at increased atmospheric pressure with the help of a Hyperbaric Chamber.

A Hyperbaric chamber is a specialised equipment in which the patient lies down on a bed and the air pressure around him/her is adjusted to increase the amount of oxygen in the blood stream.

The therapy helps in healing wounds that are resistant to more traditional treatment methods.

Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy boosts the immune system. It enhances white blood cell production, and increases oxygen carrying capacity by increasing red blood cells and hemoglobin levels.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a treatment that increases the amount of oxygen your blood can carry. An increase in blood oxygen temporarily restores normal levels of blood gases and tissue function to promote healing and fight infection.

  • Combats Infections and Bacteria
  • Enhances Healing Processes
  • Decreases Swelling and Inflammation
  • Improves Blood Flow to Damaged Tissues
  • Helps to Fight Cancerous Cells

There are some precautions that need to be taken for the next two weeks following Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy:

  1. Drink plenty of water.
  2. Avoid Alcoholic drinks for 24 hours after treatment.
  3. Avoid smoking.
  4. Avoid intake of any drug or herbal medication unless approved by your physician (such as antibiotics).
  5. Consult your doctor if you would like to resume any medication
  6. If you are diabetic and receiving insulin, your dosage will probably need to be adjusted. Discuss this with your physician prior to treatment.

ANS-It is a therapy in which 100% oxygen is administered to the patient at more than normal atmospheric pressure. Hyperbaric therapy can be used to treat a variety of diseases and conditions.

It may be an effective treatment for many cancer patients as it works by improving blood flow to the tumor and increasing oxygen levels in the blood, thus depriving the tumor of its main energy source

ANS-Oxygen is essential for all life on earth. It is required for our body’s cells & tissues to function normally and make new cells & tissues to replace old ones that have died or have been damaged

ANS-In the chamber, the high oxygen concentration helps the white blood cells kill bacteria more effectively. The increased pressure results in more oxygen being absorbed by your body fluids, which then increases your white blood cell count and strengthens your immune system. This allows your body to heal more efficiently and with less scarring
